Application and Features of Silicon Metal 1101

Silicon metal 1101 is mainly made of silica, quartz, wood chips and coke, which is heated and smelted in an electric arc furnace, and silicon metal 1101 is also known as crystalline silicon, industrial silicon, in which the main component is silicon, and the remaining elements are iron, aluminum and calcium, etc.
Silicon metal 1101 can be customized in different shapes according to customer requirements, and is commonly available in natural blocks, standard blocks, granules and powder, in which the powder is silvery gray or dark gray, while the block silicon metal 1101 with metallic luster.
Silicon metal 1101 melting point is higher, effectively improve the process quality of aluminum ingots, the production of high-quality aluminum products.
Adding silicon metal 1101 to aluminium alloys makes them stronger and lighter. As a result they are increasingly used in the automotive industry to replace heavier cast iron components.
