Japan’s ferrosilicon imports in June fell 18.68% month-on-month

According to Japanese customs data, Japan’s imports of ferrosilicon with a silicon content greater than 55% in June 2024 were 22,709.52 tons, a decrease of 5,216.92 tons from May, a month-on-month decrease of 18.68%. A decrease of 7,107 tons from the same period last year, a year-on-year decrease of 23.84%. From January to June 2024, Japan’s cumulative imports were 171,100 tons, a decrease of 11,500 tons from the same period last year, a year-on-year decrease of 6.3%.
